The rear yard is enclosed with a 6-foot fence making it a secure space for families, children & pets. Outside, guests can enjoy the shaded outdoor entertaining area with plenty of seating, barbecue facilities and a fish cleaning sink. Pebbles’ Beach House has laundry facilities for any length of stay with a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron & ironing board. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric stove, microwave, medium sized side-by-side fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee pod machine. There is plenty on offer for entertainment including a large television with USB port, DVD player, DVD’s, Wii games console with some games, board games and WiFi access for guests use during their stay. Pebbles’ Beach House has 2 spacious lounge rooms for all guests to have their own space, and an open plan living area including kitchen & dining.

The house enjoys year-round comfort with ducted evaporative air-conditioning throughout, plus split-system air-conditioning in the living area. There is an ensuite bathroom adjoining the master queen bedroom with shower & toilet and a main bathroom with bath & separate shower, and a separate toilet. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office. Pebbles’ Beach House has 3 bedrooms – queen, queen, king single bunk & single trundle sleeping up to 7 people. Make sure you plan your day for one that is sunny though as there is a lot to see, and the overcast will severely limit the pictures that you can take.Located within The Dunes Port Hughes, Pebbles’ Beach House is a great choice for accommodation close to the beach and for those wanting to play a round at this Greg Norman designed Port Hughes golf course. No one gives you trouble, and there is lots to take in. Overall this is a great place to explore if you are into golf or history.
I also checked out the cool clocks that they have lining the sidewalk as you approach the lodge. I even saw a group of tourists laying on one of the fairways for a picture and no one seemed to bother them.Īfter walking the grounds I proceeded back outside to the shopping area which has lots of memorabilia to showcase the many years of the PGA tournament. The people were relatively nice that worked there, and seemed very used to many fans and tourists running around. I enjoyed taking my time walking around the lodge and taking in the views. Whether it was the fireplace and meeting area, the upscale restaurant, or the trophies lining both halls, you can tell that a lot has happened in this small lodge. Upon entering the lodge it was apparent that there is a lot of history in this place. For a course that costs 500 dollars to play, I assumed the lodge would be extremely over the top. Upon arriving at Pebble Beach Golf Course I was immediately surprised at how much less gaudy it was then I imagined. I would recommend that you do this drive during the summer or spring as in the fall it can become dreary with overcast weather (like the day I was there), and while still awesome, there is less to see. Pebble Beach is just one of those stops, and if you are in the area you should consider making the 17 mile drive (costs 10 dollars per car in 2016). The 17 mile drive is a stretch of road that travels by many different houses, some which are more like castles then houses, on its way to over 17 individual stops. This golf course is located right near Carmel by the Sea in a very expensive area to live along the 17 mile drive. Pebble Beach, one of the premier golf courses in the entire world, is a lot more accessible to the visitor then you would think.
